Post Pandemic Design Studio

In 2019 we were planning a new exhibition for the mid 2020 that didn’t take place because of the pandemic. The title of that exhibition was “Post Atomic Design Studio” and we were about to tell the story of a graphic design studio in a dystopic future: what would be the new role of the graphic design in a world with the priority of surviving environmental conditions? Then Covid19 came, and we put in the drawer all our ideas for one year. Dystopic future is not exactly what we wished to talk about, but we realise that the new question we have in mind is pretty similar to the one we had in mind in 2019: what is the role of the graphic and communication designer after the pandemic? How is a graphic design studio or a communication agency changing after this huge event?

We asked 4 graphic designers to design a digital background for this timing of calls and virtual meeting. The backgrounds are parte of Post Pandemic Design Studio exhibition and freely downloadable here. 6 digital events will follow, where every designer will talk about their own perspective in the post pandemic scenario in a dialogue with Parco Studio founders and curators of the exhibition.
